On Wednesday 4^th October the Personal Development Department hosted a Post 18 Careers and Next Steps Evening. The event was extremely well received by the sixth form parents in attendance and the guest speakers were tremendously complimentary about the school. The event included presentations from the school career’s lead, Sheffield Hallam University and a representative from the ASK Programme (funded by the DfE). The event provided sixth form parents/guardians with all the support they needed to help their child make an informed choice regarding their future destination, after they leave Netherthorpe. Topics covered included: Different Post 18 Pathways, The Benefits of HE, Student Finance, The Different Types of Apprenticeships and How To Find Them.
