I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website. The website has been designed to give you a wide range of information about the school and I hope that you find it easy to use.
The school has an incredible amount of history and tradition. It can trace its origins back to 1572 when four local families, the Sitwell family, the De Rodes family, the Cavendish family and the Frechville family decided to establish a school to serve the local people of Staveley. The aim was to provide extra-ordinary opportunities for the children in the area and I am pleased to say that over 400 years later the school continues to do this.
Please be advised that the School is currently closed for the Summer holidays from Wednesday 24th July to Wednesday 4th September 2024. Please kindly note that we will not be able to respond to any requests, including Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests, in full during this time because there is not sufficient staff cover on site to comply. However, please be assured that we will respond to your request in full on our return.
