I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website. The website has been designed to give you a wide range of information about the school and I hope that you find it easy to use.
The school has an incredible amount of history and tradition. It can trace its origins back to 1572 when four local families, the Sitwell family, the De Rodes family, the Cavendish family and the Frechville family decided to establish a school to serve the local people of Staveley. The aim was to provide extra-ordinary opportunities for the children in the area and I am pleased to say that over 400 years later the school continues to do this.
Congratulations to Ed for his well-deserved win in the final of the Rotary Club of Chesterfield's Public Speaking Competition. He and Clayton both did Netherthorpe proud with their engaging and interesting delivery. It was a nail-biting wait to find out the outcome of the vote! https://t.co/mvWJsjqn8M
Well done to Clayton and Ed who took part in the preliminary round of the Rotary Club of Chesterfield's Public Speaking Competition this week and being successful attaining a place in next week's final. They've worked hard creating, practising and delivering impassioned speeches.
