This week the Personal Development Team received news, officially confirming that we have gained the prestigious Quality in Careers Standard Award. On Friday 22nd November 30 students in year 11 went on a trip to Oxford University. They had a tour of the cam-pus, listened intently to two lectures and enjoyed a Q&A session with current students who let them know more about what student life was like in one of the UK's top universities.

As always, the school paused teaching today at 10.55am to lead a virtual remembrance service. A number of students attended school in the uniforms of fantastic organisations - such as Army Cadets and Girl Guiding - that they represent.

33 shoeboxes were donated to the Personal Development department from students at Netherthorpe and their families.
