We are looking to recruit a team of invigilators to oversee forthcoming examinations, starting Jan 2022. You will have a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the examination/assessment process. Experience of invigilation is not required as training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided.

This post is subject to the satisfactory completion of an enhanced DBS check, Barred list check, the receipt of satisfactory references and other statutory checks that are required for the post. Midday Supervisor

You will be required to work 5 lunchtimes a week, 1 hour per day, 38 weeks of the year. We will pay £9.43 per hour.

We are looking to appoint an Office Manager to work in our main school office -experience of previously working in a school administration role is preferable. 

The person appointed will be a team player with a friendly disposition and good communication skills.  You will be required to carry out a variety of administration duties, meet and greet visitors and parents and deal with general pupil enquiries including student absence and occasionally cover the school switchboard.

Excellent administration and IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook) are essential.

Reading Engagement Lead - (Updated)

Netherthorpe School is seeking to appoint someone with a passion for reading who can inspire and enthuse our learners and our whole school community with a love for reading. You need to be self-motivated, flexible, well-organised and energetic and be ready to embrace the challenges of a varied and demanding role.

The appointee will oversee our school library and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of its resources. You will ensure a calm and purposeful environment and will work alongside teaching staff in a range of ways: from guiding students in their choice of books to supporting struggling readers.

You will also be responsible for Netherthorpe’s Accelerated Reader programme, monitoring the progress of classes and individuals and liaising with teachers accordingly, always striving to help our children become excited and passionate about books and reading.
